Empower is JNT Company’s summer internship program, designed to give students real-world experience while connecting them with industry professionals. We collaborate with local sponsors to help our interns build their networks and gain valuable insights from experts in their community.
Each year, we invite marketing and computer science students to join Empower:
• Marketing interns get hands-on experience creating a website from scratch, learning brand strategy and videography, planning events, managing social media, and more.
• Computer science interns work on a variety of web development and application projects, shadow front-end and back-end developers, and gain exposure to different coding languages and tools.
Here’s a look at some of the projects our marketing interns have worked on in recent years:
Studio Wax
Last year, our interns built a website for a local salon that needed a digital presence reflecting its luxury experience while professionally showcasing its services.
Best Pest Control of Manhattan
With over 30 years in the industry but no online presence, this client needed a website to simplify their processes. Our interns helped them establish their first-ever digital footprint.
McCool’s
McCool’s, a local restaurant and bar, was eager to work with our Empower students because they are a part of their target audience! In addition to creating their website, our interns provided social media tips on connecting with college students.
Library Liquor
The Empower interns didn’t just create a sleek new website for this client—they also redesigned their “Library Card,” a promotional discount card that’s still in use today.
